Lax-Net announces NLL 30,000th goal contest

Since its inception, as the Major Indoor Lacrosse League in 1987, there have been 29,504* goals scored in NLL history. This season, some unknowing player will score the 30,000th goal in league history. Think you can guess who it will be?

Lax-Net will give the member who correctly guesses which NLL player will score that milestone goal a brand new NLL replica jersey for the team of their choice, in the size and color of their choice. Entering is easy ... and it's FREE! Simply register as a member of Lax-Net, and submit the entry form that will become available from the menu at the left once you are signed in. Registration is free, and it gets you access to everything that Lax-Net has to offer ... the message boards, our Pickem contest, and any other features we may add in the future. With an average of 24.1 goals being scored per game, this season, (up to and including all games played through February 24th) It took 15 seasons to score 15,000 goals, which happened on January 18, 2002. The league has grown substantially since then, and the next 14,500 goals only took six seasons! It won't take long to notch another 496 goals so get your entries in!

The deadline for entering is March 17th at 10 PM Eastern Time. The entry form will be removed at this time and no further entries will be accepted. There is a limit of one entry per person per day, and any entry after the first oneeach day from any one person will be disqualified.

*Includes all regular season and playoff goals from the inaugural game in 1997 through all games played February 24, 2008. Goals scored in any past All Star games are not included, and any goals scored in this year's All Star game will not be counted towards the 30,000.
