Attack wins double-overtime classic
Kilgour goal produces 13-12 victory

Albany seems to be the most challenged team in the league in recent days. Three of the past five games for the Attack have been sudden death overtime, and tonight's double-overtime thriller -- the first game to go to the sixth period since the NLL's formation -- left no shortage of excitement and ulcer-causing plays.
The Attack started strong, jumping out with a 4-0 lead. Syracuse goaltender Ross Cowie was quickly pulled for Derek Collins to finish out the night, and Syracuse came back strong with six unanswered goals.
The Attack regrouped at halftime and quickly tied the score with a pair of unanswered goals of their own. The Dowling and Sanderson show was underway again. The Attack now held on to a three-goal lead with three minutes remaining, but that's all the Smash would need to tie it up in regulation with some well executed power plays.
Then came five minutes of the most exhilerating and agonizing lacrosse ever witnessed. Several denied breakaways and several in front shots were all shut down by both Collins and Albany netminder Rob Blasdell.
Coming into the second overtime period, Darris Kilgour scored on an assist from Josh Sanderson. Sanderson's three goals and five assists earned him Game MVP honors. The Attack snapped a two-game losing streak, while Syracuse suffered their fourth straight loss and fifteenth road defeat in as many games.
