Expecting a Storm, Attack discovers that it's only Partly Cloudy
New Jersey offense held scoreless for over 38 minutes

Thirty-eight minutes, twenty-nine seconds: to the Albany Attack, it was nine goals, but to the New Jersey Storm, it was an eternity.
Albany goaltender Rob Blasdell held the Storm scoreless until eight and a half minutes into the third quarter as the visiting Attack rolled out to a 9-0 lead and coasted to victory, 13-5, at Continental Airlines Arena on Saturday.
Gary Rosyski opened the scoring for the Attack, with Brian Beisel, Bryan Kazarian, Mike Ladouceur, Ryan Sanderson, Dan Teat, and Nick Trudeau also lighting the lamp in the first half.
Billy LeFeurve broke the shutout with 6:31 to go in the third quarter, on a power play, and Joe Teatro followed with a goal of his own just 28 seconds later. Even with a Cory Leigh strike thrown in for good measure, the Storm trailed by a 10-3 margin after forty-five minutes.
In the fourth quarter, Jamie Grimoldby put himself on the scoring sheet for the Attack, while Joe Finstad and Jordan Guindon struck gold for the home side, the latter of the two while shorthanded.
Thus ended an evening in which the Storm could barely form a dark cloud, let alone, well, Storm. Seven players tied for the New Jersey lead in points scored -- one (Cory Bomberry and Travis Kilgour assisted on one goal each).
"Our offense was disappointing," Storm head coach Jim Hinkson said after the game. "I thought Derek General (41 saves) was great in goal and the defense picked it up nicely in the second half."
"Albany has played together summer and winter for several years. They’re all on the same page."
The only place where the Storm had a decided statistical advantage, curiously enough, was in the faceoff circle, where Jamie Hanford whipped Jim Moss, 18-2. LeFeurve split a pair of draws with Moss, giving New Jersey a total of nineteen faceoffs wins against just three losses.
Sixteen extra possessions, eight fewer goals -- that's what kind of night it was for the New Jersey Storm.
