Brian Beisel scored twice in a third-quarter Rock run, helping to clip the Knighthawks, 12-10.

Toronto (13-4, 1-0) stayed a step ahead of the Knighthawks for much of the first quarter, holding leads of 1-0, 2-1 and 3-2. However, Rochester put up four goals in the second quarter and struck to open the third, for an 8-6 lead.

Beisel followed a minute later by scoring to touch off a four-goal run, after which the Rock led 10-8, an advantage it would not relinquish the rest of the way.

Rochester (11-7, 1-1) pulled within a goal to begin the fourth quarter, but after eight minutes of 10-9 lacrosse, Phil Sanderson buried a shorthander and John Rosa stretched it to 12-9 a short time later.

Scott Evans and John Grant scored three goals each for Rochester. Beisel, Josh Sanderson and Nick Trudeau led the Rock with two goals each.

Toronto will host the NLL Champion's Cup Final on 14 May, against the winner of Saturday's game between Arizona and Calgary.
