(Summaries are based on best-available information and may be amended as necessary.) Philadelphia Wings at Colorado Mammoth Dan Finck scored the game's first goal, but Philadelphia (1-0) soon fell behind 4-2 after one quarter and 7-2 midway through the second. Colorado (0-1) netminder Gord Nash even got in on the party, scoring on an empty net when Philadelphia momentarily pulled goaltender Matt Roik but failed to convert the five-on-four play. Philadelphia rallied to within two goals by halftime, at 7-5, and narrowed the gap to 10-9 by the end of the third period.
