Jason Wulder scored three goals against his former team, including two in a six-goal second-half run, leading the Mammoth to a 10-9 comeback victory over the Roughnecks.

Calgary (0-1) jumped out to a 2-0 lead just two minutes in and increased its lead to 4-0 late in the first quarter before Brian Langtry finally put Colorado (1-0) on the board.

Calgary coasted to a 5-2 halftime advantage and held an 8-4 lead late in the third quarter, keeping a step ahead of the Mammoth with every goal by the home team.

Colorado scored the next six goals, though, staking claim to a 10-8 lead just past the midway point of the fourth quarter. Wulder began the run late in the third quarter, then finished it ten minutes later; in between, Jamie Shewchuk scored twice, with Josh Sims and Langtry adding singles.

At the other end, Colorado netminder Gord Nash stood firm, allowing just one Rigger goal the rest of the way, a Curt Malawsky tally with 3:16 to play.

Calgary's Lewis Ratcliff and Colorado's Dan Carey topped the stat sheet with seven points each, on matching lines of two goals and five assists.
