Team ArenaMedia member needs your supportVery rarely do I use the Outsider's Guide for non-lacrosse items -- and in the case of Justin Davidson, it's a subject I fortunately do not have to discuss very often -- but this is one of those times where a man needs your help and your support. Justin Davidson, the younger brother of ArenaMedia's founder Saul Davidson, was severely injured early Saturday in a violent hit-and-run accident. Justin, a student at Northeastern University in Boston, was hit by a car as he crossed the street and was launched nearly sixty feet. Almost every bone on the right side of his body was broken, including an eighteen-point compound leg fracture, a broken knee, shattered pelvis, brusied ribs, dislocated shoulder, broken wrist, and a severed pinky finger. Alas, the driver who hit Justin sped away into the night. The vehicle, believed to be a green Toyota or Subaru, stopped, but then quickly fled the scene. "They just hit him and took off," state police Sgt. Ronald Sieberg said. If you have any information about the incident, please contact the Massachusetts state police at 617.727.6780. The accident is still very much under investigation, and although several witnesses have already stepped forward, additional information is always welcome. In the meantime, many surgeries and a long recovery period are in Justin's future. Our support may not make the bones heal any faster, but they will certainly brighten Justin's spirits. Please take the time to send your best wishes to Justin, or even simply remember him in your thoughts and prayers. Cards can be sent to:
