2 January:
Power Rankings and
a milestone goal

Pick the Scorer! 2 January 2002

Who will score the 15,000th goal?

Pick the milestone scorer and win!

Through 29 December 2001, 14,739 goals have been scored in Eagle Pro Box League, Major Indoor Lacrosse League and National Lacrosse League history, including both regular-season and postseason games.

At the current average of goals per game this season, the 15,000-goal plateau will be reached before the end of this month.

So, who will score the milestone goal? Will it be one of the league's top scorers, such as John Tavares or Gary Gait? Will it be role player, stepping into the play for a rare goal?

Take your best shot in Lacrosse-Network.com's Pick the Scorer contest by filling out the form below. If you're right, you might win a autographed ball -- perhaps with the John Hancock of the milestone scorer!

Some rules: you must include a working email address with your pick; otherwise, how will we know who to award the autographed ball to? Please give the player's full name -- after all, "Gait" just won't cut it. If you're going to choose one of them, you need to specify Gary or Paul. Also, your pick must be submitted at least three hours prior to when the 15,000th goal is scored, and you may only submit one pick per email address per day (but you can submit an entry every day until the 15,000th goal is scored). For the full rules and regulations, see the fine print at the bottom of the page.
