  Outsider's Guide
  TO THE NATIONAL LACROSSE LEAGUE

News Update 7 November 1999

Outsider's Guide and Arena Media
enter joint venture

Arena Media and the Outsider's Guide to the NLL (National Lacrosse League) today announced a plan to collaborate on coverage of the National Lacrosse League, which will allow the Internet's leading stadium and expansion site and the popular online newsmagazine to combine forces in presenting high quality coverage of the fledgling indoor lacrosse league.

The relocation of the Outsider's Guide onto Arena Media's web site is the primary result of this collaboration, but also will provide for the two web sites to share news and information, and will facilitate any jointly run projects.

Forced to leave its only previous host, FortuneCity, due to irreconcilable differences, the Outsider's Guide was soon offered the opportunity to join with Arena Media.

"I'm looking forward to the possibilities created by this move," said Outsider's Guide founder and Editor-in-Chief R.A. Philly. "With FortuneCity, there were limits on file size, allotted space, what a site could do, and just about everything else. Arena Media has freed the Outsider's Guide from these limitations.

"With Saul Davidson [Director of Operations, Arena Media] and I teaming up, we can corner the news market, so to speak, on league expansion, rumors, stats, and general news. Combining the name recognition of the Outsider's Guide and the extensive scope of Arena Media should benefit both of us, and especially benefit all lacrosse fans."

"We welcome the Outsider's Guide whole-heartedly to Arena Media," said Davidson. "With the OG joining us we will be unrivaled in professional lacrosse coverage in 1999-2000. R.A. Philly will be solely responsible for all NLL coverage for Arena Media and will assume the editor role for that media respectively. This has been a collaboration a long time in the making, and I think together our shared talents will impress fans and the league alike."

The Outsider's Guide to the NLL was created in July 1998 to provide a collection of news and statistics on the National Lacrosse League. It has since grown in popularity to be among the Internet's most popular NLL sites, rivaling even the official league site.

Arena Media (originally Boston Sports Group) entered the scene in January 1999. It's mission, to provide extensive coverage of expansion news, stadia design and construction, ticketing information systems, and New England Sports News. It currently remains the only Internet news source to daily cover these media.
