The National Lacrosse League and HDNet today announced the schedule of games which will appear on high-definition television this season.

The thirteen-game slate of live broadcasts begins on opening night (Friday, 16 November) in Albany, when the Attack hosts the New Jersey Storm, and continues to its regular-season finale on 23 March, when the Toronto Rock and Philadelphia Wings reprise their 2001 championship game matchup for the second night in a row (they meet a day before at Air Canada Centre).

Eleven of HDNet's telecasts will parallel ones on CNN/Sports Illustrated, the league's primary American television partner. The other two, Toronto at Washington (5 January) and Toronto at Buffalo (2 March), will be via Sportnet, NLL's Canadian television outlet.

HDNet, founded by Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and Colorado Studios president Philip Garvin, is the world's only television network to broadcast exclusively in high-definition format, placing its programming -- primarily sports, movies, concerts, documentaries and music videos -- on the cutting edge of entertainment. Currently available only on the DirecTV satellite system, HDNet broadcasts sixteen hours a day, seven days a week.

"I believe our viewers will really take to the National Lacrosse League," said Cuban, whose antics at Mavericks games have placed him among the most controversial owners in professional sports history, when the HDTV deal was announced in September. "The action is fast-paced, and it will provide a unique experience in high definition television. We welcome the NLL to our new family of sports and entertainment programming on HDNet."

The following is the HDNet schedule of NLL games, with matchup, time of game (Eastern), and mainstream network airing the game in parallel.
