The National Lacrosse League today opened fan voting for the 2002 All Star Game, to be played Sunday, 21 April at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT.

NLL teams have been divided into North (Rochester plus the five Canadian teams) and South (all American teams except Rochester) for the exhibition game. Each team was allowed to nominate five players for the ballot -- a goaltender, two defensemen, and two forwards.

Fan balloting will count one-third in the selection of the two teams. Voting by the league's coaches and general managers and by the league media will each count one-third, as well.

Fans may cast their ballot at the league's official web site for one player from each of the six categories.
