Columbus Landsharks forward Pat Maddalena today was named the National Lacrosse League's Overall Player of the Week for Week Fifteen, the games of 4-5 April.

Buffalo Bandits forward Mike Accursi, Albany Attack forward Brian Beisel, and Colorado Mammoth forward Brian Langtry were also honored.

Maddalena scored six goals and chipped in three assists in the Landsharks' 18-13 win Friday night at New York, then recorded a goal and an assist in Columbus' awful 19-7 loss to Vancouver the next night.

Accursi, the Offensive Player of the Week, scored four goals and dished out four assists Saturday night as the Bandits pounded the New Jersey Storm, 19-12. Among his goals was a power play marker to end the first quarter, giving Buffalo a 7-4 lead.

Beisel earned Defensive Player of the Week honors for scoring two goals, scooping four loose balls and helping the Attack to a 14-13 victory over the Philadelphia Wings.

Langtry, suddenly a familiar face in these articles, picked up his third consecutive Rookie of the Week award by scoring two goals and assisting on three others in a 14-11 win Saturday night over the Calgary Roughnecks. Two days ago, Langtry was named the NLL's Rookie of the Month for March.

Langtry is the most-decorated of this week's winners, picking up the third weekly award of his short career. Maddalena's on board for the second time (his first as the Overall winner), while Accursi and Beisel make their debuts.
