NLL announces TV deal with Fox Sports NetKillian's Irish Red to sponsor nine-game package; YES package, tooR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief It's not just Canadian fans who will have a new home for National Lacrosse League telecasts this season. Three months after signing a television deal with Canadian network The Score, the NLL announced today that Fox Sports Net will air nine games this season. The "Killian's Irish Red Game of the Week" lineup begins with Friday's season opener between the Vancouver Ravens and Arizona Sting, airing live on Fox Sports Florida and via tape delay on seven other Fox Sports Net affiliates. "This is an exciting announcement for the National Lacrosse League and for our ten member teams," NLL commissioner Jim Jennings said. "Our agreements with Fox Sports Net affiliates and other regional networks allow us to reach 80 percent of the cable homes in the United States, enabling many viewers across the country to see NLL action for the first time." The Game of the Week package will air on FSN South, FSN Midwest, FSN Chicago, FSN Rocky Mountain, FSN Bay Area, FSN West 2, FSN Florida, and FSN Ohio, plus all three Fox Sports Net digital channels (Atlantic, Central and Pacific). Comcast Sportsnet will air a limited schedule of games on its Philadelphia and Mid-Atlantic channels. Complementing Fox Sports Net's Western Division-heavy lineup, the Yankee Entertainment and Sports (YES) Network will air an additional eight games, all involving at least one Eastern Division club. The NLL's two New York clubs, the Buffalo Bandits and Rochester Knighthawks, will each be featured four times on YES (including once against each other), with the other game being a live telecast of a game between the Philadelphia Wings and Toronto Rock. "The YES Network is a perfect fit for our fans in New York State and the Northeast," Jennings said. "YES has a strong presence through all of New York State, and is the right network to showcase the Bandits, the Knighthawks and all of the NLL to more than eight million cable households in the region."The following games will be shown on Fox Sports Net, Comcast Sportsnet, and/or YES Network (all times Eastern).
