Eastern Division All Star head coach Darris Kilgour will be surrounded by plenty of his own players during this month's National Lacrosse League All Star Game.

Kilgour and Eastern assistant coach (and Rochester Knighthawks head coach) Paul Day selected four Buffalo Bandits as reserves in the contest, slated for Sunday 22 February at Pepsi Center.

Forwards Mike Accursi and Mark Steenhuis received the call, as did defenseman Kyle Couling and goaltender Steve Dietrich.

Three Philadelphia Wings forwards (Jake Bergey, Tom Marechek, and Jeff Ratcliffe) were selected, as was Wings defenseman Paul Cantabene.

The only other reserve forward selected to play is Derek Malawsky of the Rochester Knighthawks.

On defense, the Knighthawks are represented by Andrew Turner, while the Toronto Rock will send Glenn Clark and Jim Veltman.

The Eastern Division starting lineup features forwards Colin Doyle (Toronto), Blaine Manning (Toronto), and John Tavares (Buffalo); defensemen Pat Coyle (Toronto) and Mike Hasen (Rochester); and goaltender Pat O'Toole (Rochester).

A look at the Eastern Division reserves:

Mike Accursi has scored six goals and assisted on ten others for the Bandits this season. His sixteen total points puts him in a tie for fourth on the team.

Jake Bergey ranks second on the Wings with eleven assists, adding six goals for a total of seventeen points in six games. He has scooped up 22 loose balls.

Paul Cantabene leads the Wings with 48 loose balls and has a 58.4 faceoff percentage. Offensively, he has scored two goals and assisted on three others.

Glenn Clark has 20 loose ball recoveries this season. Offensively, the Rock defenseman has no goals and one assist this season.

Kyle Couling has three assists this season for the Bandits and has 22 loose ball recoveries.

Steve Dietrich has a 78.8 save percentage this season, compounding that with a paltry 11.50 goals-against average to produce a 4-1 record for the Bandits.

Derek Malawsky is second on the Knighthawks in goals (13), assists (16) and points (29), the last of which ranks him eighth in the league.

Tom Marechek has nine goals, nine assists and eighteen points this season, putting him third on the Wings in all three categories.

Jeff Ratcliffe has three game-winning goals this season, giving him the clincher in all three Wings wins. He leads the team with fourteen goals and 21 points.

Mark Steenhuis ranks second on the Bandits with twelve goals scored. His sixteen points ties him with Accursi for fourth-most for Buffalo.

Andrew Turner has scooped up 28 loose balls and assisted on four goals for the Knighthawks this season. He has not scored a goal in 2004.

Jim Veltman, the King of the Loose Ball, has 54 scoops this season, with NLL-second-best 10.8 per game. He has scored five goals for the Rock this season.
