Three Philadelphia Wings will start for the Eastern Division All Stars at the 2007 NLL All Star Game next month in Portland.

Defenseman Thomas Hajek, transition player Geoff Snider and goaltender Matt Roik were selected in balloting among fans, team general managers, and league media.

They are joined on the East team by forwards John Grant (Rochester Knighthawks) and John Tavares (Buffalo Bandits) and by defenseman Cam Woods (Chicago Shamrox).

The Western Division All Stars will feature Portland LumberJax defenseman Brodie Merrill as the starting transition player. The reigning NLL Rookie of the Year is the only hometown player starting in the All Star Game, to be held on Saturday, 10 March.

Also starting for the West will be forwards Dan Dawson (Arizona Sting) and Dan Carey (Colorado Mammoth), defensemen Taylor Wray (Calgary Roughnecks) and Andrew Turner (Edmonton Rush) and goaltender Rob Blasdell (Arizona).

The teams will be coached by Darris Kilgour and Gary Gait, head coaches of Buffalo and Colorado, respectively. They were chosen by virtue of leading their teams to last season's NLL Championship Game. The coaches of the 2006 Division Final losers -- Rochester's Ed Comeau and Arizona's Bob Hamley -- will serve as assistant coaches.

The All Star Game reserves -- eleven more runners and another goaltender per division -- could be announced as soon as Thursday. Each team is guaranteed at least one player in the All Star Game.
