Rosyski nets first career Player of Week Award

Four goals, six assists in Stealth's 17-8 win over Portland

The NLL has announced the Week Twelve player awards: San Jose Stealth forward Gary Rosyski earned both the Overall and Offensive Player of the Week Awards, Edmonton Rush goaltender Curtis Palidwor was named the Defensive Player of the Week, Mark Steenhuis of the Buffalo Bandits was named Transition Player of the Week and Ryan Benesch of the Toronto Rock was named Rookie of the Week.

Rosyski led the Stealth to a 17-8 victory over the Portland LumberJax on Saturday. The veteran scored four goals and added six assists for ten points and scooped up a loose ball in the win. He scored two of his goals on the power play as San Jose won its third straight game.

Palidwor recorded 50 saves and allowed only nine goals in a 12-9 victory against Toronto. Palidwor also tallied an assist in the win, Edmonton's first ever over the Rock.

Steenhuis scored five points on three goals and two assists and collected six loose balls in Buffalo's 11-8 road win over the New York Titans on Saturday at Madison Square Garden.

In a 12-9 road loss to the Edmonton Rush on Friday, Benesch scored four points on two goals and two assists and collected six loose balls. In a 13-12 home overtime loss to the Colorado Mammoth on Saturday, Benesch scored seven points on four goals and three assists and collected five loose balls.

The Weekly Player Awards are determined by a vote of the General Managers and Head Coaches of the league's thirteen member clubs.
