Rush goaltender chosen as Player of Month

8.71 goals-against average in March; Titans' Hall named top rookie

NLL Press Release

Edmonton Rush goaltender Curtis Palidwor has been named March's Overall Player of the Month, while New York's Jordan Hall has been named Rookie of the Month.

After the Rush started the season 0-6, Palidwor has been a steadying force between the pipes to help put Edmonton back in the playoff race. Since he was named the team's clear-cut starting goaltender at the start of March, Palidwor and the Rush are 4-1.

The 35-year-old goalie played every minute (241) of the Rush's four games in March, allowing just 35 goals for a stellar 8.71 goals against average. He collected 154 saves, good for an 81.4% save percentage in the month. His rising performance lifted his season save percentage to 77.9% (3rd in the league) and his goals against average to 10.77 (4th).

Hall led all rookies in the month of March in both goals and points, despite his team playing only two games. The 23-year-old transition man collected five goals, seven assists and 13 loose balls in a pair of wins for the Titans, who beat the top two teams in the league (Philadelphia and Toronto) by wide margins in March.

Hall's 51 points (19 goals, 32 assists) is good for 19th in the league and leads all rookies. The University of Delaware grad, who was selected first overall in the 2007 Entry Draft by New York, also has 82 loose balls, which is 14th in the league and leads all rookies by a wide margin.
