Iannucci nets third Player of Month awardAlso honored in January, February; Portland's Jacobs is top RookieNLL Press Release Philadelphia Wings forward Athan Iannucci has been named as the National Lacrosse League's Player of the Month for April, the third time he has won the award in 2008. In six games played last month, Iannucci scored 25 goals, dished out ten assists and picked up 45 loose balls as the Wings went 3-3 and clinched their first playoff berth since the 2002 season. Iannucci finished the season with 71 goals, setting a new league record for most goals scored in a single season. Portland LumberJax forward Peter Jacobs was named as the league's Rookie of the Month for April. In five games played, Jacobs scored seven goals, tallied eight assists and picked up 23 loose balls. Portland went 2-3 during the month and was able to clinch a playoff berth in the West Division.
