The National Lacrosse League announced today that an expansion draft will be held later this month to stock the roster of the Boston Blazers.

The expansion draft is slated for Thursday, 24 July at 2:00 PM Eastern and will be conducted via conference call.

As in past drafts, Boston will be able to draft one unprotected player from each of the other twelve teams. Those teams have the option of protecting either thirteen runners and a goaltender or ten runners and two goaltenders.

The league expects to announce the protected player lists later this week.
