All-Star logo unveiled

NLL Press Release

The logo for the first-ever National Lacrosse League All-Star Game was unveiled Friday. The emblem is for the 20 February contest at the Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial, when a team of the league’s best Canadian born players takes on a squad made up of the NLL’s best U.S. and Indigenous players.

The red, white, blue, and black logo has the colors of the league as well as the nations participating in the game. It features a combination of a star, as seen on the United States flag, with a Canadian maple leaf.

Players in the game will wear the logo on their All-Star jerseys. The All-Star logo will also be put on the playing surface at Blue Cross Arena. The logo will be featured on All-Star merchandise as well.

The logo was designed by Steinmiller Design Studio of Rochester, New York. Doug Steinmiller has done work for the Rochester Knighthawks, as well the American Hockey League’s Rochester Americans. He also designed the character in the logo of the Rochester Raging Rhinos A-League soccer team. Steinmiller has also done work for local radio stations and does sports cards as well as all elements of advertising.

Fan voting for the five starters on each All-Star team ended today. Tickets are also on sale to the general public for the mid-season classic. They can be purchased at the Blue Cross Arena, Ticketmaster outlets, or through charge-by-phone at 716.232.1900. Fans may also place an electronic order via the Knighthawks web site.
