It's unanimous: Experts say Buffalo is NLL's bestFirst perfect score ever in Experts Poll; Rock distant secondR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief For the fourth straight week, the Buffalo Bandits are the number one team in the weekly Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll. Buffalo still managed to accomplish something new this time, though -- for the first time ever in the Experts Poll, the first-place selection was unanimous. The Bandits, fresh off an 11-7 spanking of Rochester Saturday night at the Blue Cross Arena, earned a perfect 90 points this week, two better than last week and way ahead of second-place Toronto (77 points). The Rock was idle this past weekend, but Colorado certainly wasn't, pounding San Jose, 14-6, Friday night. The victory did nothing for the Mammoth's poll position, though; it's still in third and actually managed to lose a few points, to 67. The Calgary Roughnecks, fresh off an 18-15 decision over Anaheim, is hot on Colorado's tail, in fourth place with 65 points. Rochester, which edged Philadelphia in overtime Friday night (behind nine John Grant goals) before Saturday's loss to Buffalo, moved up one spot to fifth (59 points). From there, it's a long way to sixth place and the Arizona Sting (42 points), which needed overtime to beat Minnesota at home, 17-16. San Jose dropped two spots to seventh (37 points), and depending on what happens this coming weekend, eighth-place Philadelphia (31 points) could sneak by the Stealth, too. Minnesota (16 points) and Anaheim (11 points) bring up the rear together for the seventh time this season and fourth week in a row. Our panel of nine experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on a 10-9-8-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 90 points and the minimum is nine points.
