Bandits' exile over, back to top of Experts PollJust shy of perfect score after ousting Rock from first placeR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief As quickly as the Buffalo Bandits lost their grip on first place in the weekly Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll, they've regained it back just as fast. After a horrible home loss to Philadelphia on 25 February, Buffalo lost its perfect ranking and its top spot in the rankings to hard-charging Toronto. This past weekend, the Bandits returned the favor, defeating the Rock, 14-12, at Air Canada Centre. The victory put Buffalo back in first place in the Experts Poll, one vote shy of regaining its perfect score (89 points, eight first-place votes). Toronto returned to second place -- a spot the Rock has frequented this season -- with 81 points and one first-place vote. Colorado hung on to third place (72 points) after narrowly defeating Anaheim, 13-12, at Arrowhead Pond. The Mammoth continues to lead Calgary (63 points) and Rochester (50 points) in the top half of the table. That hasn't changed in a few weeks, but the rest of the rankings have been shuffled by Philadelphia's resurgent play and the Storm's near-victory over the vaunted Mammoth. Philadelphia shot up two spots to sixth after defeating Minnesota for its third straight victory. The Wings now have a season-high 41 points, five clear of Arizona and San Jose (tied at 36 points each). The Sting and Stealth meet twice this weekend. Anaheim moves up to ninth (15 points), three points up on Minnesota (12 points). Our panel of nine experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on a 10-9-8-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 90 points and the minimum is nine points.
