Big win puts Rock back on top of Experts PollVictory at Buffalo breaks tie with BanditsR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief Fresh off a solid 12-8 victory at Buffalo, the Toronto Rock has broken out of a tie for the top spot in this week's Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll. Toronto, which matched the Bandits at 83 points a week ago, is now alone in first, tallying 88 points on eight first-place votes. Buffalo slipped to second, receiving 80 points. The Calgary Roughnecks, who snared the only first-place vote which didn't go to Toronto, placed third for the third straight week, totalling 75 points. That put the league's power triumvirate almost twenty points ahead of fourth-place Rochester (56 points), which held off Colorado and Arizona (tied at 53 points) for the spot. Philadelphia (35 points) is way back in seventh. The bottom of the rankings got a bit of a shakeup this week, following Minnesota's stunning victory over Rochester in the first game of a home-and-home and a split in a two-game set involving the two California teams. For the first time ever, Minnesota has emerged from the bottom two, beating out San Jose for the eighth spot. The Swarm drew 24 points to the Stealth's 20. Anaheim finished last with eleven points. Our panel of nine experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on a 10-9-8-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 90 points and the minimum is nine points.
