Mammoth continues Experts Poll leadPortland, Buffalo, Rochester ... then a big drop to fifthR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief Following a 10-6 victory at Arizona, the Colorado Mammoth has inched closer to a unanimous first-place selection in the Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll. Colorado gained three points over last week, improving to 100 points (out of a possible 104), but failed to draw any additional first-place votes; three of eight Experts still rank another team above the Mammoth. One of those teams is the Portland LumberJax, securing two first-place votes to outpoll the Buffalo Bandits for second place, 91-87. Curiously, the Bandits, who did not draw a first-place vote, again finished above the Rochester Knighthawks, who did get a nod for the top spot to go with their 84 points. In all, the rankings show little change from last week, with Arizona slipping from fifth to sixth after the Colorado loss and San Jose sliding two spots (to twelfth) after dropping a 14-11 decision at home to Rochester. Our panel of eight experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 13-12-11-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 104 points and the minimum is eight points. The complete rankings from this week's Experts Poll, with comments (win-loss record through Sunday is in parentheses):
