Despite loss, Mammoth remains tops in Expert PollColorado docked 2 points; Portland slides after awful sweep by StingR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief The Colorado Mammoth's loss at Calgary over the weekend came at a price in the latest Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll. Not a big price, mind you -- after falling 17-13 to the Roughnecks, Colorado slipped two points, to 101, and lost one of its seven first-place votes. The Mammoth is still comfortably in front, though, eight points clear of second-place Buffalo (93 points, one first-place vote), which cruised past Minnesota, 22-13. The Bandits moved up a spot, as did the Rochester Knighthawks (89 points), at the expense of the Portland LumberJax. Derek Keenan's troops lost both ends of a home-and-home series to Arizona, including an ugly 11-4 shelling, and falls to 79 points. Somehow, though, the LumberJax hung on to a first-place vote. The only other change in the rankings involves eighth place, now held by Minnesota after a weekend split (beat Rochester, lost to Buffalo), which slipped around Chicago (lost at New York) for a 38-36 advantage. Our panel of eight experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 13-12-11-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 104 points and the minimum is eight points. The complete rankings from this week's Experts Poll, with comments (win-loss record through Sunday is in parentheses):
