K'Hawks inch closer to Mammoth in Experts PollRochester picks up another first-place vote, now just four points backR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief For the Colorado Mammoth, the good news is that its run at the top of the Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll has reached eleven weeks. The bad news is that the Rochester Knighthawks picked up another convert. Colorado, idle this past weekend, was the unanimous first-place selection as recently as three weeks ago. Rochester picked up the support of one Expert in mid-February, and stole another voter this week after a thrilling 14-13 comeback win at Philadelphia. The result is that Colorado now has 102 points on six first-place votes, while the Knighthawks are up to a season-high 98. They're both well ahead of third-place Buffalo, which narrowly escaped Minnesota with a victory on Sunday. The Bandits are unchanged from last week, at 83 points. Arizona (73 points) and Philadelphia (71 points) continue to round out the top five, with Calgary and Minnesota now in a tie for sixth, with 65 points each. The only other change in ranking results from San Jose's 11-9 victory at Edmonton, which allowed the Stealth to vault from an eleventh-place tie to sole possession of tenth place (33 points). The Rush, meanwhile, fell from a ninth-place tie to eleventh (28 points). Our panel of eight experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 13-12-11-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 104 points and the minimum is eight points. The complete rankings from this week's Experts Poll, with comments (win-loss record through Sunday is in parentheses):
