Final four? Stability atop Experts PollColorado, Rochester, Buffalo, Arizona again lead weekly pollR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief The National Lacrosse League's winningest teams have settled comfortably, one by one, into the top spots in the weekly Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll. Colorado, which is bidding to go wire to wire atop the rankings, and Rochester, which has held the second spot since early February, have been idling with basically the same scores each week -- 103-97 in points this time, with the Mammoth back up to seven first-place votes. Buffalo, occupant of third place for a month now, continues along with a respectable 87 points. And now Arizona (80 points) confidently joins the club, ranking fourth for the third straight poll. In all, six of the eight voters in the Experts Poll have the teams ranked this way; the usual weekly shuffling of teams now begins at number five, currently the territory of Minnesota (71 points). The Swarm snapped out of a sixth-place tie with Calgary with a solid 11-9 home win over Philadelphia (56 points), which tumbled from fifth to seventh. Calgary remains in sixth, with 59 points. Another change has San Jose and Edmonton moving up, into a ninth-place tie (39 points), knocking Chicago down two spots to eleventh, at 27 points. Also, New York used a respectable showing against Buffalo and Portland's weekend implosion against San Jose to push the LumberJax to thirteenth, 15 points to 10. Our panel of eight experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 13-12-11-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 104 points and the minimum is eight points.
