Rochester takes over Experts Poll leadKnighthawks perfect; Mammoth second, just barely ahead of BanditsR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief The Colorado Mammoth can forget about going wire to wire in the Lacrosse-Network Experts Poll. Colorado got something of a Get Out of Jail Free card last week, tying with Rochester for first place after suffering a 19-15 loss at Buffalo. But the Mammoth lost again this week, in much uglier fashion, getting clobbered 14-8 by Arizona -- on home turf, no less. That ended Colorado's fourteen-week reign atop the Experts Poll, dating back to last season, as the Mammoth has fallen to 92 points. Rochester, which took over the claim of longest active winning streak (now nine in a row) after Colorado's loss in Buffalo, dominated Philadelphia on Saturday and quickly gained the backing of all eight Experts, for the best-possible total of 104 points. Buffalo, whose seven-game winning streak is second only to Rochester's (and, in fact, no one else is riding more than a two-game winning streak right now), ranks a very close third this week, finishing just a point behind Colorado, at 91 points. The rest of the rankings remain the same as last week, except for two changes -- Philadelphia (37 points) fell two spots to ninth after losing twice, with San Jose (57 points) and Toronto (54 points) moving up a spot; and Portland broke out of a last-place tie with New York, outpolling the Titans, 15-13. Our panel of eight experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 13-12-11-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 104 points and the minimum is eight points. The complete rankings from this week's Experts Poll, with comments (win-loss record through Sunday is in parentheses):
