Rochester, Buffalo lead Experts PollK'Hawks and Bandits set up for crucial series after blowout winsR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief Sometimes, it just doesn't pay to take a week off. The Colorado Mammoth, who until last week was in line to go wire-to-wire atop the Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll, has fallen another spot, to third (91 points), despite not playing this past weekend. Blame it on two Saturday night blowouts in western New York -- poll-leading Rochester clobbered Minnesota, 19-9, while Buffalo swatted Arizona, 15-5. Buffalo's big win over such a good opponent earned it two first-place votes and raised its Experts Poll point total to 95. That knocked Rochester slightly, down to 102 points. The Knighthawks and Bandits, as luck of the schedule has it, put their lengthy winning streaks on the line against each other weekend, Friday night in Buffalo and Saturday in Rochester. The rest of the rankings show some slight tweaking upward for a few teams, as well as harsh tumbles for two Canadian clubs -- Calgary (63 points) fell from fifth to seventh after losing at home to Edmonton, and Toronto (33 points) dropped from eighth to tenth following losses to Minnesota and Chicago. Our panel of eight experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 13-12-11-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 104 points and the minimum is eight points. The complete rankings from this week's Experts Poll, with comments (win-loss record through Sunday is in parentheses):
