K'Hawks enter playoffs perfect in Experts PollBandits, Mammoth tied for second; Riggers up to fourthR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief After losing their grip a bit last week, the Rochester Knighthawks are again the unanimous first-place selection in the latest Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll. Rochester locked up the top spot this past weekend by sweeping a home-and-home series against Buffalo, 14-10 Friday night at HSBC Arena and 14-8 the following night at home. The Knighthawks also drew the maximum 104 points two weeks ago, but in the leadup to this past weekend's series, two voters switched to Buffalo atop their ballots for last week's poll. The dual losses this week didn't hurt Buffalo much, though. The Bandits and Colorado Mammoth split the second-place votes, four each, and tied at 92 points. Calgary, which surged from fourth place in the Western Division to a home playoff game in a matter of 48 hours, took an equally-impressive jump in the Experts Poll, moving from seventh to fourth, with 76 points. Arizona moved the other way, going from fourth to seventh after losses to Calgary and Minnesota. The other movers were Toronto and Philadelphia, who swapped spots after combining to lose three games this weekend. The Rock is now eighth, with 40 points, and the Wings tenth, at 33 points. Our panel of eight experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 13-12-11-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 104 points and the minimum is eight points.
