Philadelphia takes lead in Experts PollLast of the unbeatens, Wings earn four first-place votesR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief Cashing in on their status as the last unbeaten team left standing, the Philadelphia Wings have risen to the top of this week's Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll. Philadelphia, fresh off a come-from-behind 15-13 win at Colorado, drew four first-place votes and four second-place votes, earning 92 points. The Wings' next opponent is the team they took the top spot away from, Minnesota, Friday night at the Wachovia Center. The Swarm lost five points after dropping a 16-14 decision at Buffalo, drawing three first-place votes and 88 points. Colorado slipped a spot this week, to third, but still managed to hold on to one first-place vote. The Mammoth earned 84 points this week. The race for the next three spots turned incredibly tight this week, with San Jose moving up a spot despite having the same point total, 65, as last week. Rochester (63 points) also sneaked up a spot, while Buffalo (62) slipped two after losing at Toronto. (Handing Minnesota its first loss apparently did not weigh as strongly among the experts) Our panel of eight experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 12-11-10-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 96 points and the minimum is eight points. The complete rankings from this week's Experts Poll, with comments (win-loss record through Sunday is in parentheses):
