Wings unanimous again in Experts PollPhilly posts another comeback win; Titans rise two spotsR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief The Philadelphia Wings have regained the first-place vote they lost a week ago and are again the unanimous choice to lead the weekly Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll. Philadelphia had to come up with more late-game heroics this past weekend, scoring six goals in the final six minutes to squeeze by San Jose. The Wings' reward for victory? A perfect score of 96 points, their second such feat in three weeks. Idle Buffalo took the hit for Philadelphia's win, losing two points (one on the switched first-place vote), but still leads third-place Minnesota by a comfortable margin, 84 points to 78. Colorado and San Jose tied for fourth place with 71 points each, the second week in a row the Stealth has tied for position (it was third last week, alongside Minnesota). Further down the rankings, New York is making a surprise run, up to .500 for the first time in two months and now seventh in the Expert Poll rankings (45 points), an improvement from the ninth-place spot the Titans had held for eight consecutive weeks. Our panel of eight experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 12-11-10-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 96 points and the minimum is eight points.
