Minnesota takes over Experts Poll leadLeague-best 9-4 record; Wings remain in secondR.A. Philly Outsider's Guide Editor in Chief Nine weeks after being dethroned, the Minnesota Swarm have again been selected as the top team in the weekly Lacrosse-Network.com Experts Poll. Minnesota, now a league-best 9-4 after defeating Philadelphia in overtime this past weekend, narrowly outpolled the Wings for first place. The Swarm finished with 91 points (including four first-place votes) against Philadelphia's 89 (three first-place votes). The difference between third and fourth was even closer, as last week's number one, Buffalo, finished just a point ahead of San Jose, 75-74. The Bandits are coming off an 11-6 loss against Rochester, while the Stealth (who netted one first-place vote) is alone in first place in the West. In the bottom third of the rankings, Calgary has begun climbing back up after last week's plunge from eighth to twelfth. The Riggers are now in tenth place, well ahead of Edmonton and Portland (each of who totalled 14 points). Our panel of eight experts includes a wide range of top lacrosse minds, including Outsider's Guide writers, players, and coaches. Scoring is on an 12-11-10-etc. basis, so that the maximum score a team can earn is 96 points and the minimum is eight points. The complete rankings from this week's Experts Poll, with comments (win-loss record through Sunday is in parentheses):
